¡Hola amigos y amigas! BigBase is organising another event for all our customers and business contacts. Following the successful sabrage workshop in May, we will host a Cuban rum tasting on 24 November. Think of it as a very early Christmas party, Cuban style!

P.S. You are just as welcome if you prefer a beer or a glass of wine.

Rum: more than a drink

Rum is a symbol of culture, history and passion. Originating in the Caribbean in the seventeenth century, it has a rich history involving everyone from pirates to world travellers. Made from sugar cane, it offers a wide range of flavours and textures, from sweet and smooth to strong and smoky.

In Cuba, a country famous for rum, the drink is closely woven into everyday life. It is popular at parties and celebrations and is an essential ingredient in some of the world’s best-known cocktails, including the mojito and the Cuba Libre.

At our event, an experienced enthusiast will guide you through an informative, delicious tasting. You will learn about the production process and the flavours it creates. Drinking rum will be a different experience afterwards!

Cocktails 101: the perfect Cuba Libre and mojito

Participants will also have the opportunity to learn the art of making cocktails. With an expert’s guidance, we will explore the secrets of the perfect Cuba Libre and mojito. From the right proportions to the ideal muddling technique, you will go home with skills to show off at your next party.
