Privacy Statement

BigBase is committed to the principle that protecting the privacy of its customers and website visitors is essential to its operations. Personal data of customers and visitors is therefore handled and secured with the utmost care. BigBase complies with the requirements set by the GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation) and other relevant privacy legislation.

The data controller is Mr. D. Tiems, BigBase, Zaanstraat 18, Geleen. In accordance with legislation, personal data processing activities have been reported to the Supervisory Authority, the Dutch Data Protection Authority, where necessary.

Processing of Personal Data

As part of our services, we record data only after receiving explicit consent. This applies when you subscribe to a publication or newsletter, attend a conference or training course, order a publication, use our (interactive) services, maintain an online customer account, express an interest, or otherwise contact us. We only store data that is strictly necessary for proper business operations; this includes details such as contact information, payment details, billing information, products ordered, professional details, and/or specified interests.

We use this data for the execution and handling of the relevant agreement, for our other services and internal operations, and to keep customers informed of our (new) products and services, as well as those of our group companies. Your data will never be shared with third parties without your consent.

We provide a list of sub-processors with whom we have entered into an agreement to access necessary data.

Your Email Address

If you have provided your email address, for example to receive a newsletter, it may be used to inform you as a customer about relevant and interesting similar products and services. If you no longer wish to receive this information, you can unsubscribe at any time.

It is also possible that you have agreed to the email address being used to occasionally receive relevant information regarding products, offers, and promotions from us or other companies. These companies are carefully selected by us.

Unsubscribing

We take your preferences into account when providing services and information. In many cases, we offer you the opportunity to indicate these preferences yourself. This can be done, for example, on your personal interest page or within your account. If you wish to change how we use your data, or if you wish to be completely removed from our records, you can always notify us via our contact form.

Access and Correction of Your Data

You have the right to access the personal information we hold about you. If the information is incorrect, you may request that it be updated. Such requests for access or correction of your data can be directed to us via the email address found on our contact page. You can also contact us there if you have any questions about how we handle your data.

Click Behavior and IP Address

General visitor data is tracked on our websites without identifying the visitors. The purpose of this is to optimize the website's layout. This data may also be used to provide more targeted information on the site, allowing us to further optimize our services to you. To do this, we only use anonymous, non-identifiable information, unless you have given explicit consent. Your IP address is therefore never used without your permission.
We use Google Analytics to track statistics. We have entered into a Data Processing Agreement with Google. Google will not use the data to individually identify or track you as a visitor. To this end, we have instructed Google that your data may not be used by third parties. All data is exchanged via an encrypted connection and processed entirely anonymously.
