How to add a popup to your website

Popups are a simple yet effective way to grab visitors' attention and guide them toward important actions on your website. With our content management system, you can easily create and manage popups without any technical knowledge.

Why use a popup?

  • Immediately grab attention for important messages or actions
  • Increase conversions (such as sign-ups, downloads, or purchases)
  • Highlight temporary promotions or offers
  • Reduce bounce rates by engaging visitors
  • Communicate important updates directly

When should you display a popup?

There are several ways to display a popup, depending on your goal:

  1. Immediately upon page load
Use this for critical notifications, such as a major promotion, announcement, or update that every visitor should see right away.
  2. After a specific amount of time (timeout)
Display the popup after a few seconds so you don't interrupt the visitor immediately. Ideal for newsletter sign-ups or special offers.
  3. Upon leaving the page (exit intent)
Show the popup when a visitor is about to leave the page. This is perfect for last-minute offers, discount codes, or reminders.

How to create a popup

Creating a popup is very simple:

  1. Add an article, image, or other element as you normally would on a page.
  2. Select the location “popover” (center, left, or right, depending on the desired layout).
For example: image on the right and text on the left.
  3. That’s it! Your popup is ready.

How to set the timing of a popup

You can determine when the popup becomes visible via the template settings:

  1. Go to the page where you placed the popup.
  2. Go to template settings.
  3. Fill in the "popup timeout" field. Use milliseconds (1000ms = 1 second).
Want to show the popup when the visitor leaves the page? Enter “exit”.
(Note: exit intent does not work on touchscreen devices)
